For minors: Montana state law requires that all minors getting pierced or tattooed must have parent/guardian presence during the entirety of the procedure. the parent must sign a waiver of consent for the minor to be pierced or tattooed. Both the parent AND the minor must provide valid phot IDs at the time of the appointment as well as the original documentation of a birth certificate or guardianship papers. The signing parents name must be on the birth certificate. If the last names on the IDs or supporting documents are different, you must have something that links the names together as parent or guardian.

Yes. we require a deposit for every tattoo appointment scheduled, it holds the appointment time for you and ultimately goes toward the cost of the tattoo. This deposit is paid at the time of booking the appointment and we accept deposits with debit/credit over the phone or cash in person. The amount of the deposit depends on the length of time you are booking for:
Keep in mind when scheduling that ALL deposits are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE. We are happy to reschedule your appointment, free of charge, with at least a 24-hour notice. However, if you reschedule or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment or don't call/don't show you will forfeit your deposit, and we will require a new one to schedule. All deposits are valid for one year. If you do not have an appointment on the schedule and we cannot reach you to schedule, the deposit is forfeit after one year of inactivity.
YES! Our artists love the opportunity to do custom work! If you are not sure which artist you would like to work with, we recommend checking out their galleries so see whose style suits your best. Once you know which artist you would prefer, give the shop a call and set up a free consultation. Consultations give you an opportunity to meet with your artist and chat with them about your ideas. If you are not sure which artist will best suit your needs, you can email your idea to us, and we can assist you!
We do take walk-ins! You can call the studio at 406-728-1191 to see if there is availability. We can't hold spots on our schedule without a deposit though. The best way to make sure you have a time and day that works for you is to call ahead and make an appointment.
There are a couple of options for scheduling a tattoo appointment.
You are always welcome to call 406-728-1191 to schedule a consultation prior to booking a tattoo appointment. Once you have spoken to an artist you can then schedule your appointment in person.

Be sure to include the size (in inches) where you would like the tattoo on your body, and if you would like color or black and grey.
You can request a specific artist or ask for suggestions
this message will reach our front end staff who will get your time quote and price quote and get back to you in a timely manner.
You can then call the shop at 406-728-1191, or stop in, and schedule your appointment along with the appropriate deposit.

Our front-end staff works diligently to ensure that you are scheduled for the appropriate amount of time for what you would like to get tattooed. We will always try to accommodate changes to your design but recommend giving us as much notice as possible. If you arrive to your appointment with a different idea then you were scheduled for, without giving us any notice about a change or additions to your design, we may require that you reschedule to a different day with the appropriate amount of time and you are liable to lose your deposit to compensate for the artists time for that day.
Of course! Our artists offer free tattoo touch-ups to their clients, within the first 90 days. After the 90-day period we are still happy to touch-up tattoos, but you will have to put down a deposit like a regular appointment, and additional charges may apply according to the time it takes.
While we never want to turn anybody away, there are a few conditions in which we are not able to tattoo.
Yes! We have artists that love the challenge of covering an unwanted tattoo or reworking existing tattoos. For cover-ups it works best if you schedule a consultation prior to booking an appointment. This will give you and your artist time to look at what you have in person, discuss your ideas, or brainstorm for ideas. we will always be honest and let you know what will and won't work for your unwanted tattoo to be successfully covered. If it doesn't line up with your original idea, we are committed to figuring out alternative options as covers or changing details so that you may be happy with the tattoo you have.
In most cases we are able to cover scar tissue. we do recommend scheduling a consultation to give your artist a chance to look at the scarring and recommend how to move forward and what kind of design would work. Scars should be healed for one year before getting tattooed.
We currently do not have an artist offering cosmetic tattooing. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Yes, it hurts. But there are lots of people walking around with tattoos so it's not unbearable. There are many sensations used to describe it depending on each person and what area is being worked on. Some people even like it!
Always talk to the person providing the procedure about what they recommend. It is generally fine as it won't damage the ink, but there could be slight migration issues. We never recommend getting a tattoo or a body sculpting procedure within a month of each other. Give your body time to heal in between getting either done.
